The dinosaurs are in town!

Our topic in Reception this half term is 'Digging for dinosaurs'.

Yesterday Graham and Sue from Portals to the Past came to visit us. The children loved the dinosaur workshop and had a fabulous morning learning lots of facts about dinosaurs. Did you know that fossilised dinosaur poop is called coprolites?

The dinosaur models were a huge hit and the children enjoyed being able to look closely at the details on each dinosaur.

This week in Literacy the children are going to be using their phonic skills to write a simple sentence about something they learnt in the workshop.

The dinosaur eggs in our classroom are still there - we wonder if they might hatch soon?
