We are seeking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Premises Manager to lead on facilities management and health and safety across the school site.
The Premises Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Stopsley Community Primary School premises operate effectively and safely to support the teaching and learning of students. They are also responsible for ensuring that the school makes best possible use of the resources available and will have direct line management responsibility for the premises team, including the cleaning team.
Stopsley is a forward thinking school that is continually looking to improve its indoor and outdoor environment so this job would suit someone who has a passion for projects and likes to be creative and make a real difference.
Premises Manager Requirements
To undertake this Premises Manager role, you must have knowledge of health and safety, preferably including COSHH. You may also have successful experience of leading staff and liaising with contractors.
Strong building and handy-person skills are required and a building qualification or equivalent would be a benefit. You will have the ability to build effectual relationships with staff, governors and external contractors and use influencing skills to ensure improvements are successfully implemented and legal standards are maintained.
The hours for this post may be negotiable but are currently set at 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day). The successful candidate may need to be able to return to the school to secure the premises after evening time lettings although this will be discussed further at interview.
