Please send your child into school with their money to spend, in an envelope with their name and amount on the outside for the teacher to collect in that morning. The children will make their choices that day and their books/stationery and change will be given to them by the end of the day on Friday (all items are being stored in quarantine until purchased to ensure they are Covid secure).

Please do support the school with this fundraisingopportunity, Covid has restricted the fundraising opportunities this year but by running the event ourselves, every penny raised goes back to supporting our children!

Get ready!... This July, The Big Trunk Trail arrives in town – the biggest, most unique, outdoor, public art event Luton’s ever seen!Over 30 vibrant, beautifully decorated elephants will trumpet along a free, fun, family-friendly art trail around the town’s key landmarks.
One of these elephants will be decorated with the help of the children at Stopsley!

This fantastic event is being brought to Luton by Keech Hospice Care to celebrate its 30th anniversary and say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the charity’s work over the years.

This event aims to raise awareness and vital funds for Keech Hospice. To help, we are participating in The Big Trunk Trail but we also have a ParentMail donation page that goes live on Monday 24th May for anyone who wishes to donate. Please do if you can.

We would also like to take this opportunity to say a huge well done to all those who entered.

Read For Good is an organisation that raises money for children to be able to read books when they are in hospital. As well as raising money for children in hospitals, the readathon will also raise money for new books at school.

The children in KS1 and KS2 have been given a sponsor book and will be asking friends and family to sponsor them to read. All information can be found on the sponsor card.

We will be asking children to bring their sponsor money into school at the end of May, or the money can be donated online.

Maka entered a writing competition before Christmas and has now had her entry published in the Young Writers book.

We are all so proud!

Now the children are back at school, they need to have their prize for great attendance. These two classes will have a non-uniform day to celebrate.

These non-uniform days take place on…
Kandinsky - Thursday 25th March
Earhart - Friday 26th March

The winners will be announced the following week after the deadline. The year groups to choose from are Nursery, Year One, Year Two, Year Three, Year Four, Year Five. The design can be any year group, not necessarily the one the child is in.

1 – Choose a year group.

2 – Use a square frame no smaller than 21cm x 21cm to draw/paint the design.

3 – Hand in to their class teacher, clearly labelled with their name, chosen year group and their own class name by Friday 16th April.

On this day each child can come to school in their own clothes (but this must include something red). 

As of Monday 15th March from 9.00am, you will be able to donate towards this event via ParentMail. As with all other charity events, a donation of £1.00 will be set.

The games and activities are designed to inspire active lifestyles in children, aiming to teach them how to enjoy moving through play and to help them develop positive habits for adulthood. All games and activities are appropriate for children in Key Stage 1 and 2.
