Reception (New Intake September 2020)
This page is for parents of children who will be joining us for our new Reception classes in September 2020. The page has been set up to replace the meeting for parents, originally scheduled for June 10th, due to the Coronavirus situation.
We welcome all of our new Reception parents to the school community and thank you for choosing Stopsley. Below you will find a video introducing our school staff. You will also find a full slide show (accompanied by sound) that tells you everything that you need to know ready for September. Further information can also be found in our school prospectus and this can be accessed here. At the bottom of the page there are several documents that would have been given out to parents at the meeting. Please click on these to view and download them. All of these documents are explained within the slide show. There are some documents that need to be completed and returned to the school by no later than Friday 17th July.
Please can all new Reception parents take the time to look through all of the information that is on this page. If you have any questions or want to know anything more, please don't hesitate to contact the school directly. Our contact details can be found here.
Please share our welcome video below with your children...
To view the slide show for the new intake meeting, please click on the image below and then run the attachment as a slide show. Please make sure that you have your sound on as our voice-over appears automatically.
At the bottom of the page, you will find the documents that were referred to in the slide show. If parents would like these printed for them, please do get in touch with the school and we will send them out to you in the post. We will need to allow time for this so please do get in touch soon.
New Reception children usually visit the school in July so that they get use to their new classrooms and so that they can meet their new teacher. However, we are still in the process of planning this transition as we need to know more from the Government about their plans for schools to reopen fully. As soon as we know more, we will be in touch with all parents.
We wish you a safe and happy summer. We look forward to working with you all soon.
