Behaviour

We believe that kindness is the best language.

Behaviour and attitudes are important for our children to achieve well. With a happy and safe school environment, the children can thrive and do their best. They can achieve better and achieve well. At Stopsley, we have high expectations for behaviour. All of the children are expected to behave in a positive way and to show kindness (courtesy and respect) towards others. We know that good behaviour needs teaching so we devote time to do this by delivering a well-sequenced curriculum which helps the children learn what positive behaviour looks like and feels like.

We want all children to feel proud of what they achieve. We believe in children having intrinsic motivation and we measure their progress with this through our 'Motivation Mountain'. Cna children climb to the top of the mountain and set the example of what great behaviour looks like...

'The world doesn't change because you mean well; the world changes when you behave well" by Abhijit Naskar.

To help children know how to behave well and to be clear as to what is expected of them, we teach our behaviour curriculum across the school. This helps the children play their part in making our school environment positive, safe and focussed. You can view or download a copy of our behaviour curriculum by clicking on the link below...
