Welcome to Hedgehogs Nursery class
Mrs Newman, Mrs Wiles, Mrs Moulding, Mrs Allen, Mrs Agolli, Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Oakley have been so excited to tell us all about the wonderful children in Hedgehogs nursery class.
We have welcomed back some of children who were with us last year and welcomed new children to our Stopsley family. The children are settling well and the grown ups feel very lucky to be working with them.
Nursery have been sharing the story of 'The Pig in the Pond' which they are very much enjoying. They have created a story map and have been talking about the different sounds each animal makes. Listening to sounds and differentiating between what they hear is an important skill as it is the first phase of our phonics learning.
We are very lucky to have Mrs Allen who can play the guitar and the children have had a lovely time singing some animal themed songs, linked to our story, with her. They are doing very well at remembering the words and all the sounds the animals make.
Welcome to our Stopsley family to all our Nursery children and their grown ups. We are looking forward to making lots of memories together this year.
