Encouraging Independence
One of our starting points for encouraging your child's independence is teaching them how to put on their coat.
Here are our steps to success:-
1) Lift your coat up off your coat peg.
2) Put one arm through a sleeve.
3) Reach behind you to put your other arm through the second sleeve.
4) Ask for help to connect the two parts of the zip at the bottom.
5) Now pull the zippier all the way up to the top.
Please support this growing independence by showing your child how to pull their sleeves through so that they are the right way out.
