Holi Colour Run

Last week we learnt all about the Hindu festival of Holi. The children learned about what the festival meant, where it originated from and what the special meaning of some colours was. Did you know that yellow is used to represent knowledge and green is used to represent nature? Ask your child if they can tell you about some of the other colours. After a week of learning lots of facts, we ended on a high with a fantastic colour run on the playground. The children needed someone to model what to do which meant Mrs Johnstone was VERY colourful by the end of the day! The children went home beautifully colourful and smiling from ear to ear. Our playground also looked like a work of art.
