A busy half term!

The children in year 5 have done themselves proud this half-term and have produced some excellent work in history and writing. They have all really enjoyed the World War 2 topic and many of them were able to share family stories of great-grand parents during the war. We have enjoyed reading different genres of writing set in WW2, such as the play script 'The Evacuees, the novel 'Friend or Foe' by Michael Morpurgo and the picture book 'Rose Blanche', and these have added a real depth to the children's learning.

The last few weeks have seen us busily preparing for Christmas: we have had lots of fun doing Christmas crafts, having Christmas parties and watching the pantomime Aladdin, amongst other things.

We hope that all our families have a fantastic Christmas break and wish you all a very happy 2022!
