Family Support
We are a school where every child matters and no child is invisible.
We believe that every family is a vital part of our school community and that by working together, we can help each and every child flourish – not just academically but socially, emotionally and personally.
Everyone attending Stopsley is part of our 'school family' and we are committed to making that experience not only supportive but joyful and enriching. Our aim is for all children and families to look back on their time here as the very best possible start in their school journey.
'Working together' because it takes a village!
We know that parents are the children’s first and most important teachers. This is why we place real importance on teamwork with parents and on building strong, trusting relationships with families. We offer comprehensive family support for anyone who may need this.
We have an 'open door' policy. We encourage families to come in, speak to staff and let us know where support may be needed – whether it’s around learning, wellbeing, routines at home or anything else.
How we support our families – every day and in every way
Daily welcomes and open conversationsOur staff are available every morning at the classroom doors to greet children and speak with parents. These everyday moments of connection are at the heart of our caring culture.
Supportive Presence on the Playground
Members of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Pastoral team are present on the playground each day – ready to talk, listen, support or simply share a smile.

Together we create something special...
We want every child to feel seen, supported and celebrated. We also want every family to feel that they really do belong in our school community. When children feel supported, they can reach their full potential and when families feel connected, they are empowered. 💛 #TeamStopsley #NoChildInvisible #FamilySupport #Teamwork

Please remember that parents can come in at any time and ask any member of staff how we do something, what something means or what the next step might be for their child. We are always happy to help.
